Mammoth Lakes Resort and Region Information

Mammoth Lakes and the Eastern Sierra are truly a year-round haven for outdoor enthusiasts. We are surrounded by mountains, lakes, streams, hot springs, bike and horse trails, national parks and forests. While Mammoth is known for having one of the finest ski resorts in the country, the mountain biking, hiking, camping and rock climbing are also world class. Hot Creek, adjacent to the airport, draws thousands of visitors a year, not only for its therapeutic natural hot springs, but for some of the finest fly-fishing in the nation. Other popular activities nearby include golfing, kayaking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and on and off-road motorcycling.

Surrounded by the majestic beauty that inspired some of Ansel Adams finest work, the Mammoth Lakes Area enjoys incredible sightseeing opportunities. We are located only 35 miles from Mono Lake and the east gate of Yosemite National Park. Other popular attractions include Red’s Meadow, Rainbow Falls, Devils Postpile National Monument, and Bodie State Historical Park.
